Rosemarie Caruso's interest in fashion began very early growing up in New York. Her mother came from a family of tailors, seamstresses, and designers. As a little girl she would draw, cut fabrics from remnants and create clothes for her dolls. When she turned 13, she learned how to operate a sewing machine and there was no stopping her. Her passion for fashion was born.

In the workplace, her retail career began working for New York stores, Franklin Simon, Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor, where she did personalized shopping and merchandising. It was during that time she developed and honed a keen eye for quality designs, expert construction and wonderful fabrics.

As a stay at home Mom, in the early 70s and 80s she continued to sew for friends, family and her children by traveling to the New York garment area for fabrics and trimmings. Moving to Hunterdon County in the mid 80s and realizing a much needed niche for the type of clothing and service she had the desire to provide, she opened her first shop on March 17, 1988 on Church Street.

Rosemarie moves forward building her business with special attention to detail, buying beautiful imported and domestic collections, building wardrobes for women and providing each and every client with her unparalleled customer service.
